From a blank dirt lot to a luxury outdoor retreat — this Encino backyard was reimagined with a modern ADU, balcony addition, and a resort-style pool.
The goal of this project was to expand livable space and create a seamless indoor-outdoor experience. The design integrates functional architecture — like the balcony and ADU — with entertaining zones including a pool, spa, sunken lounge, and shaded pavilions.
A backyard built for entertaining
The centerpiece is a custom pool with a sunken lounge and firepit, complemented by a waterfall feature that creates movement and ambiance. Multiple seating areas, an outdoor kitchen, and a dining pavilion allow the space to adapt to gatherings of any size.
Luxury details in every corner
Fire features, modern lighting, and layered landscaping bring warmth and balance to the design. Every finish was chosen to feel elegant yet comfortable, making the space usable day and night.
